  • Who is Alpha Youth for?
    Alpha Youth is a tool for evangelism, aimed at teenagers aimed between 13-17.
  • What is Alpha Youth?
    Alpha Youth is a series of interactive sessions designed to start an open and honest conversation around some of the big questions of life. Topics at Alpha Youth include: Who is Jesus, why did he die, how do I read the Bible, how do I pray, how is the Holy Spirit, and does God heal today? Alpha Youth runs all across Australia, in schools, homes, youth ministries, prisons, and online. No two Alpha Youths will look exactly the same but they typically have the same three main elements; eat food / play a game, watch a talk, and discuss.
  • Who can run Alpha Youth?
    Anyone! From a teenager running Alpha Youth with their friends, to youth leaders, to chaplains in schools and prisons. Alpha Youth is so simple that anyone can run it, and we LOVE seeing students all across Australia be equipped and empowered to share their faith with others through Alpha.
  • How much does Alpha cost?
    All the episdoes, training, support and extra promotional materials are 100% free!
  • Can I post the Alpha Youth Series episodes on social platforms?
    No, please do not post the actual series episodes on social media channels. Alpha is created with be watched in community with open discussion. We totally encourage you to use and share all of the promotional resources and material as far and wide as possible! Just not the actual episodes themselves.
  • Can I extract content from the episodes?
    Please refrain from extracting any content from the Alpha Youth Series for any purposes. The series contains many resources that are under license and contract, which restrict their use to the agreed terms.
  • Can I still use the 2017 Alpha Youth Series?
    Absolutely! You may continue to use the 2017 Alpha Youth Series, however support and new resources will now be focused around the new Alpha Youth Series.

    Absolutely. Alpha Youth can be facilitated by anyone who desires to create a supportive space for young people to explore their questions about life, faith and purpose. To foster a rich and diverse conversation, consider invitating a range of participants, including friends and peers, in addition to your own children.
  • I'm a teacher, can I run Alpha Youth for my students?
    Yes! Or even better, equip a student to run it with their friends.
  • Is the Alpha Youth Series free?
    Yes! Thanks to our generous donors, the Alpha Youth Series is free to stream or download from MyAlpha.
  • How is the new Alpha Youth Series different from the previous 2017 version?
    The new Alpha Youth Series has fewer episodes and run over a shorter course of 8 weeks. The episode videos are also shorter. It is hosted by 8 international young hosts (Gen Z). Content has been updated to weave in changing priorities, social climate, and culture of this generation. This series is created by young people for young people.
  • I'm under 18, can I run Alpha Youth for my friends?
    The new Alpha Youth Series has been specifically designed to empower young people to lead Alpha Youth for their peers. It’s important to create an atmosphere where young people are comfortable and able to express themselves. If you are a young person running a course for your friends, to do this, it’s important to have a responsible adult involved to help facilitate a safe environment. This could be a parent or guardian, teacher, your youth leader, or church pastor.
  • Who is the Alpha Youth Series for?
    Alpha Youth Series is created for young people age 13-17 that have never heard the Christian basics before.
  • What is Life Essentials?
    Life Essentials is an ongoing series of short videos exploring identity, belonging, purpose, and faith. The videos are designed to spark faith conversations together with discussion questions. Each topic can be done on the go, in less than 20 mins!
  • Who is Life Essentials for?
    Life Essentials was designed for young people to run with their friends.
  • How do I get started?
    Easy! Find some friends to run Life Essentials with you, and some people who you'd like to attend. Then just grab the videos, snacks and go!
  • How much does Life Essentials cost?
    Life Essentials is 100% free! You just need to provide the snacks.

    Life Essentials has 3 simple elements. First, there's food (pizza shapes are the elite flavour, fight us), then you watch the video and have a discussion!

This series was created as a bridging tool, a “Pre-Alpha Youth” series. An entire Life Essentials session can be run in under 20 minutes, and each episode explores topics around identity, purpose, belonging and faith. It’s designed for young people to run with their friends and it’s 100% free! All you need to do is provide the snacks.

Life Essentials is not a shortcut but a doorway to Alpha Youth. It’s a resource young people can use to gather their friends around a table and talk about anything from screen time to forgiveness to who Jesus is. It’s short and sweet but chock full of questions that spark deep discussions around faith. What’s not to love about that?
